I am exploring a new process with my work. I have always been fascinated by the elements.
Earth, Water, Fire and Air. It occurred to me that I use all of the elements when I create a painting.
There are minerals in the paint I use representing Earth.
I use Water and Air (my breath) to move the paint. I use Fire to cure the resin. Everly is Earth. Major and I are Air.
Josh (my husband) is Fire. Together, we work hand in hand to create.
The only one we are missing in our family is water.
The element Water is one that I am deeply connected to. Both of my babies were born into the water.
Water is essential to life and it doesn’t stop, can’t stop, won’t stop no matter the obstacles in its path.
It has the power to heal and wash all things new or destroy.
There is something sacred to being around, being in and feeling water.
This series of smalls will focus in on the power of our words and how intentions hold information that can be transmitted via water.
I will paint with water I collect from waterfalls, rivers, creeks, rain water and the Gulf of Mexico.
I will infuse them into each piece along with specific intentions and blessings of love, light and peace.
Recently, I was introduced to Dr. Masuro Emoto.
His work regarding water experiments and how words are alive is so inspiring and has pushed me forward in the work I am doing.
The end of September through the rest of the year, I will release small capsules of this water series.
First up will be a series of paintings using water collected from the a creek feeding the Chattahoochee at our favorite Georgia State Park; Sweet Water.
Stay tuned for more as this unfolds and new work is released.
Thank you for your love and support.
Sales from these go towards our adoption fund.
